Rev. Bryan White
Senior Pastor
Bryan became the Senior Pastor of St. Peter’s in January of 2019. Having grown up in Virginia Beach, he attended the University of Virginia before completing The Fellows Program at The Falls Church Anglican. He went on to earn an M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2011 and has since served at churches in Oxford, England, Washington, D.C., and Houston, Texas. Beyond St. Peter’s, he serves on the Advisory Board for Beeson Divinity School.
He’s married to Laurin, and together they have two sons, Tucker and Sanders. You can learn more about him by reading this interview in Portico Mountain Brook, Summer 2019.
Rev. Andrew Russell
Assistant Pastor for Families & Youth
Andrew is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, and attended Belmont University in Nashville before earning his M.Div. at Beeson Divinity School in 2019. He served as an intern at St. Peter’s during seminary and, after graduation, as a curate for an Anglican church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In addition to his role at St. Peter’s, he is also the voice of The Daily Office Podcast.
Andrew is married to his high school sweetheart, Rev. Anna Russell, who also serves as a deacon at St. Peter’s.
Mark Gignilliat, Ph.D.
Theologian-in-Residence
Mark is from Tampa, Florida, and serves as a professor of Old Testament at Beeson Divinity School (read more about him on their website). He received his B.A. from Bob Jones University, M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary, and Ph.D. from the University of St. Andrews. He has written and contributed to a number of theological publications.
Mark is married to Naomi and proud dad to William, Jackson, Franklin, and Mary Grace. While his sermons can be found on our sermon podcast, his other teachings from St. Peter’s can be found here.
Sabrina Carpenter
Administrator & Executive Assistant to Senior Pastor
Sabrina was born and raised in Alabama, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at Faulkner University and later attending The University of Alabama, where she earned her Master’s in Interactive Technology.
Sabrina married her husband Billy in February 1987 and have one son, a daughter-in-law, and two wonderful grandchildren. She loves her family but above all loves the relationship that she has with Christ.
Savannah O’Rear
Director of Worship Arts
Savannah grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and is the youngest of four girls. She attended Kennesaw State University where she earned her Bachelor’s in Human Services with a Minor in Sociology.
She began to serve in various worship leading positions beginning in early high school. Her love for worship grew immensely through these roles, particularly through being a Worship Resident at Perimeter Church in Johns Creek for three years. She is married to Tyler, and together they have two girls, Finley and Amberly.
Director of Children’s Ministry
St. Peter’s is growing! We’re currently looking for a new member of our team to serve as our Director of Children’s Ministry (30-40 hours/week).
